Terms of Service

These terms describe the agreement between you and PORTLS when you create or use a PORTLS workspace. See also our Privacy Notice, Refund Policy, and Trust & Security page.

Last updated: July 23, 2026. This page is maintained by PORTLS as editable project content, not legal advice. Review with qualified counsel before relying on it.

Who you are contracting with

PORTLS is operated by Kevin Florentin as an individual seller (the "PORTLS operator" in these terms). Contact: hello@portls.to. If a legal entity is later registered to operate PORTLS, that entity replaces the individual operator prospectively.

Reseller / Merchant of Record notice. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Acceptance

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using PORTLS, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. If you use PORTLS on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.

The service

PORTLS is a link-shortening and commerce-attribution tool for creators. It lets workspace owners create short links, optionally install a tracking snippet on their own storefront, and see which links drove clicks and orders from connected stores.

Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date (email, workspace handle, billing details).
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including actions by anyone you invite to your workspace.
  • Keep your password, API keys, and webhook secrets secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use PORTLS to:

  • Redirect to phishing, malware, deceptive offers, spam, or any illegal content.
  • Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
  • Circumvent rate limits, plan quotas, or other technical restrictions; scrape, reverse-engineer, or rebuild the service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or re-host the service without a written agreement with us.
  • Harass, defraud, or harm others, or disrupt the service for other users.

We may suspend or terminate workspaces that violate this section, with or without notice depending on severity.

Workspace owner responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the destination URL of every short link you create and for the content on those pages.
  • You are responsible for complying with the platform rules of wherever you share links (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, email, etc.).
  • If you install the PORTLS tracking snippet on your own site, you are responsible for disclosing that tracking in your site's privacy notice and obtaining any consent required by your audience's jurisdiction.
  • You are the data controller for visitor data collected through PORTLS in connection with your workspace. PORTLS acts as your processor for that data.

Subscriptions, billing & quotas

  • Paid plans are sold and billed by our reseller Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles taxes, invoicing, dunning, chargebacks, refunds, and customer service for anything payment-related. Their terms apply to the payment relationship: Paddle Buyer Terms.
  • Current plans are Monthly ($29.99/month, 60,000 tracked events included), Annual ($149.99/year, 800,000 events included for the annual period, approximately 58% off vs. paying monthly), and Agency ($79.99/month, 500,000 events included, multi-workspace). Monthly and Agency plans bill every month; the Annual plan bills once per year. Included quotas reset at the start of each billing cycle.
  • $5 first-month intro offer. The Monthly plan is currently offered at $5 for the first month, then $29.99/month. The $5 is a real paid charge (not a free trial) and starts your subscription immediately. Cancel anytime from Settings or the Paddle-hosted portal to stop it from renewing at the standard price.
  • Overage on Monthly and Agency. When you exceed the included quota on a monthly-billed plan, tracking continues and a metered fee of $0.50 per 1,000 extra events is added to your next invoice.
  • Annual plan quota. The Annual plan gives you 800,000 events for the annual period. If you exceed the annual pool we'll email you before applying any overage; sustained overuse may require upgrading your plan.
  • Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated by Paddle. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
  • Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy (a 14-day money-back window from your first paid charge) and are processed by Paddle.

$5 first-month intro offer

The Monthly plan currently ships with a $5 first-month intro price. This is a paid charge, not a free trial — your subscription is active from day one and the 14-day money-back window in our Refund Policy starts on that first charge. If you don't cancel before the first month ends, the subscription renews at $29.99/month. The intro price applies to first-time Monthly purchases only.

Data retention & account deletion

While you have an active subscription (including and cancelled-but-not-yet-expired periods), we keep your workspace data available. If your subscription lapses, your workspace enters a limited state and data is scheduled for deletion after 30 days, giving you time to export or resubscribe.

You can request permanent deletion of your workspace from Settings → Danger zone at any time. Deletion enters a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the request. At the end of the grace period, links, clicks, events, conversions, products, sources, and settings are erased and cannot be recovered. You can download a JSON export of your workspace before deleting.

Some minimal records may be retained where required by law (e.g. Paddle's invoicing and tax obligations as Merchant of Record).

Data & privacy

How PORTLS handles authentication, click telemetry, retention, cookies, and the tracking snippet is described on the Trust & Security page. By using the service you agree to those practices.

For visitor data collected via your workspace (clicks, events, conversions tied to your links), you are the controller and PORTLS is your processor. You are responsible for the lawful basis on which that data is collected.

Third-party services

PORTLS relies on or integrates with third parties whose own terms also apply when you use them through PORTLS:

  • Lovable Cloud — hosting, database, and authentication.
  • Paddle — payments, taxes, and subscription management.
  • Fourthwall, Ko-fi, Shopify — only when you connect those stores to your workspace.

We are not responsible for the availability, content, or terms of third-party services.

Intellectual property

PORTLS, including the website, app, code, design, brand, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service per these terms.

You retain all rights to the content and data you put into PORTLS (your links, destinations, products, click and conversion data). You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service on your behalf: store, process, display, back up, and transmit your content as required to provide PORTLS.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, fraud, abuse, security risk, non-payment, or to comply with law. We'll try to give notice when reasonable.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the settings page. After cancellation your workspace remains read-only until the end of the paid period, then transitions to the free tier (subject to its limits) or is closed if you delete the account.

We retain the right to delete data after extended inactivity or after account closure, subject to the retention timelines on the Trust & Security page.

Disclaimers

PORTLS is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the accuracy of any attribution, analytics, or reporting output.

Attribution is best-effort. Browser settings, ad blockers, third-party scripts, cross-domain checkouts, and platform policies can cause clicks or conversions to be missed or misattributed.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PORTLS and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PORTLS and its operators from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your destination URLs, your tracking-snippet deployment, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Governing law & disputes

PORTLS is operated from the Republic of Paraguay. These terms are governed by the laws of Paraguay, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before the ordinary courts of the city of Asunción, Paraguay.

This clause does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer-protection rights granted by the law of your country of residence. If such mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, that right is preserved.

Region-specific notes

PORTLS is available worldwide. The following notes summarize a few rights you may have depending on where you live. They are informational and do not replace the actual local law.

European Union / EEA

Under the GDPR, you (the workspace owner) are the data controller for visitor data collected through your workspace and PORTLS is your processor. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority. If you buy a paid plan as a consumer in the EU / EEA, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase, unless you have already used the service in a way that exhausts that right (in which case we'll tell you before you start).

United Kingdom

The same data-controller / processor split and the same right to lodge a complaint with the ICO apply under the UK GDPR. UK consumers have an equivalent 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

California, USA

Under the CCPA / CPRA, PORTLS does not "sell" or "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold about them, to request its deletion, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Send requests to the contact address below.

Brazil

Under the LGPD (Lei nº 13.709/2018), you have rights of access, correction, anonymization, portability, and deletion of your personal data, and you may file a complaint with the ANPD (Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados).

Paraguay

Use of PORTLS in Paraguay is also governed by Ley 7593/2025 (Protección de Datos Personales) and, where applicable, Ley 4868/2013 (Comercio Electrónico). Consumer relations are additionally subject to Ley 1334/98 (Defensa del Consumidor y del Usuario).

Everywhere else

Local consumer-protection and privacy law applies wherever it grants you mandatory rights that the rest of these terms cannot waive.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email with a specific date in which they are taking effect. Continued use of PORTLS after a change means you accept the updated terms.
